Provincial Referee Certification Information
To create and associate P3 Referee designation for young referees who can, through the mentorship of the MTU and the referee association of Nova Scotia increase their knowledge and improve their skills
PROVINCIAL P3 ASSOCIATE REFEREE
Requirements:
- Be 13 years of age or older
- Hold a minimum rank of red belt or above
- Obtain a mark of 50% or above on the examination
- Must complete the Provincial / National referee course


CERTIFIED P3 LEVEL
Requirements:
- Be 15 years of age or older
- Hold a minimum rank of red belt or above
- Obtain a mark of 65% or above on the examination
- Be required to officiate in at least 1 MTU sanctioned tournament
- Must complete the Provincial / National referee course
CERTIFIED P2 LEVEL
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum rank of 1st degree black belt
- Be registered with WTF Canada Black belt Kukkiwon database
- Obtain a mark of 70% or above on the examination
- Be required to officiate in at least 2 MTU sanctioned tournament
- Be required to officiate in at least 1 provincial tournament
- Must complete the Provincial / National referee course a second time or
have experience, TBD by Referee Chair


CERTIFIED P1 LEVEL
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum rank of 1st degree black belt
- Be registered with WTF Canada Black belt Kukkiwon database
- Obtain a mark of 75% or above on the examination
- Be required to officiate in at least 2 MTU sanctioned tournament
- Be required to officiate in at least 1 provincial tournament
- Must complete the Provincial / National referee course a third time or
have experience, TBD by Referee Chair
